Greece-based tanker owner and operator Okeanis Eco Tankers has taken delivery of Nissos Donoussa, a very large crude carrier (VLCC) newbuild.

The 319,000 dwt ship has been delivered by South Korean shipbuilder Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI).

It is the fifth in a series of eight VLCCs that will be handed over to Okeanis Eco Tankers throughout the year.

As informed, the Marshall Islands-flagged ship already commenced trading in the spot market.

With a capacity of 339,000 cubic meters, Nissos Donoussa features a length of 330 meters and a width of 60 meters. It has a market value of about USD 93.9 million, according to data provided by VesselsValue.

Back in November 2018, Okeanis Eco Tankers received a firm commitment for a secured loan facility of USD 59 million for Nissos Donoussa, hull 3050.

Established in 2018, the company has another three identical VLCCs on order at HHI and two Suezmax tankers at Hyundai Samho shipyard.
