GCC Bunkers, a physical supplier of marine fuels, has reached a processing agreement with Texas International Terminals to produce IMO 2020 compliant 0.5% sulfur bunker fuel oil.

The parties would also produce 0.1% ECA specification gasoil in the Houston, Texas area, starting in early 2020.

GCC Bunkers will supply the bunker fuel oil and gasoil through dedicated, chartered bunker barges. It will also continue to supply 3.5% sulfur specification fuel oil from separate barges, “ensuring that there can be no sulfur contamination.”

Texas International Terminals, the liquid and dry bulk multi-modal facility for deep draft vessel, will operate a simple distillation unit with a capacity of 50,000 barrels per day.
