Boskalis Subsea Services is creating new opportunities for the supply chain by inviting companies to come forward with fresh, innovative ideas and new technology.
Aberdeen-based firm, which secured a series of inspection, repair and maintenance (IRM) projects in the North Sea, said it is also turning its attention to securing large scale SURF (subsea, umbilicals riser and flowlines) projects globally.
Stuart Cameron , managing director of Boskalis Subsea Services, said: “ Working flexibly, we continually develop fit-for-purpose, cost-effective and safe ways of tackling underwater construction challenges.
“This does however require fresh ways of approaching complexity as well as new technology and applications which is why we are actively going out to the market to build relationships with suppliers who share our approach to innovation.
“The message to subsea companies is that our door is open and we’re very keen to hear from those who can offer something truly different and are willing to build mutually beneficial and truly collaborative relationships .”
Having executed in excess of 750 vessel days so far in 2019 and with a further 1,000 days already booked for 2020 and beyond, the company is also looking to add to its fleet to meet future demand.
Boskalis Subsea Services now employs over 80 people in the city, with 50 in Papendrecht and Dubai and 300 offshore on its fleet of dive support vessels.
