Dutch Minister of Economic Affairs and Climate, Eric Wiebes, has received the position paper on “Energy from water” from Dutch Marine Energy Centre (DMEC) and Association for Energy from Water (EWA) on Wednesday.
The minister agreed to prepare a road map for the sector after receiving the paper from the Members of Parliament Carla Dik Faber (CU) and Tom van der Lee (GL).
DMEC, a service provider for the international marine energy sector, aims to accelerate technology, innovation and commercialization of marine energy solutions.
EWA has set itself the goal of influencing Dutch energy and industrial policy so that a substantial part of Dutch energy demand in the future will be supplied by energy from water.
