SCF has exercised the option with Polarcus for the redelivery of Vyacheslav Tikhonov vessel, originally named Polarcus Selma.
Polarcus currently expects the vessel to be redelivered in November 2019 following completion of the wide-azimuth project in the Americas.
SCF extended the bareboat charter for the vessel in June 2019 following the award of the wide-azimuth project.
The contract included a redelivery option, which has now been exercised.
Polarcus said that it is discussing a number of potential projects with customers and will explore opportunities for the vessel after redelivery.
