Spain’s Bahía de Bizkaia Gas (BBG), controlled by EVE and Enagás, received 53 cargoes so far this year at the regasification terminal in the port of Bilbao.
Compared to the same period in 2018 this is an increase of 19 cargoes BBG said in its statement.
The facility currently operates at 60 percent of its capacity, which according to Bahía de Bizkaia Gas is double the capacity at which any of the remaining facilities in Spain.
BBG’s general director Javier López expects the facility to hit 70 percent utilization by the end of the year.
In addition to the 53 vessels that unloaded at the facility, the plant loaded a small-scale vessel during the period under review.
