Orient Cable’s Ningbo Orient has delivered the first batch of subsea cables for China General Nuclear Power Corporation’s (CGNPC) Daishan 4 offshore wind project in China.

According to the Chinese company, the first batch of 35kV subsea cables, totaling 23.8 kilometers and weighing more than 1,800 tons, was delivered on 7 October.

Orient Cable said it will continue providing cables for the project.

At the beginning of this year, CGN received consent for the 216MW offshore wind farm off the northern coast of Dayu island, Daishan county.

Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries (ZPMC) is in charge of the overall construction, transportation, and installation of the project’s 220kV offshore substation.
