Hamburg-based Nauticor, a unit of Linde, said it has expanded the list of ports in which it is conducting liquefied natural gas bunkering.
According to a brief statement through its social media, Nauticor said it has provided LNG as fuel at the Swedish port of Gothenburg.
The world’s largest bunker supply vessel for liquefied natural gas (LNG) Kairos supplied LNG to Furetank Reder’s LNG-fueled product tanker Fure Valo.
Nauticor added that it took less than three hours for the operation to be completed and for the vessel to split and go on their way.
Kairos is already on the way to serve the next customer, the statement reads.
Kairos, with a tank capacity of 7,500 cubic meters is owned by Babcock Schulte Energy. Klaipedos Nafta and Nauticor chartered the vessel through the joint venture Blue LNG, where Nauticor had a 90 percent share, and Klaipedos Nafta had a 10 percent share.
Klaipedos Nafta sold its 10 percent stake in the joint venture in late April 2019, making Nauticor the sole charterer of Kairos. The transfer will become effective as of September 30, 2019.
