SHI lays keel for GasLog’s LNG newbuild

Monaco-based LNG shipper GasLog has laid the keel for its latest liquefied natural gas newbuild at the Samsung Heavy Industries shipyard.

Monaco-based LNG shipper GasLog has laid the keel for its latest liquefied natural gas newbuild at the Samsung Heavy Industries shipyard.

The vessel, currently known as SN2300 will have the capacity to transport 174,000 cubic meters of the chilled fuel.

In a brief statement through its social media channels, GasLog said the keel-laying ceremony at the Samsung Shipyard’s dock No3.

According to GasLog’s website, the LNG carrier is powered by two-stroke diesel engines with low-pressure gas injection (LP-2S).

The vessel is scheduled for delivery in 2020, the website shows.
