Kogas posts LNG sales drop in October

South Korean state-owned Korea Gas reported a drop in LNG sales for the month of October when compared to the corresponding month in 2018.

South Korean state-owned Korea Gas reported a drop in LNG sales for the month of October when compared to the corresponding month in 2018.

The company’s LNG sales reached 2.14 million tons in October, 17.3 percent below the sales figures in October 2018 that hit 2.56 million tons.

In its monthly report, Kogas said that, compared to the previous month when it sold 1.91 million tons, this is an 11.7 percent jump.

Of the total sales in October, LNG sales to the power generation sector reached 0.99 million tons, dropping 3.3 percent from the previous month and 19 percent compared to the 1.22 million tons sold in October 2018.

City gas sales reached 1.15 million tons in the month under review, 15.7 percent below the corresponding month in 2018. However, this was 29 percent up on the previous month.
