International oilfield services company Expro has secured a contract extension to supply well test and subsea services for Inpex-operated, Ichthys LNG.

The contract will see Expro continue to supply a high rate 175 MMscf/day well-testing package, which will include electronic emergency shut down (ESD) systems, the company said in its statement.

Expro will also supply seven high debris valves, developed as part of the Next Generation Landing String (NGLS) program, designed and tested to the industry’s new API 17G standard.

Mrinal Vohra , Expro’s region vice president of Asia Pacific, said, “Since 2014, Expro has delivered a solid track record on the INPEX-operated Ichthys LNG, completing 18 wells to date.”

Work on the next phase of field development is due to commence in March 2020.
