Norwegian geophysical surveying and mapping services company Magseis Fairfield has entered into an agreement to participate in a multi-client project, expected to begin late in the first quarter of 2020.
Magseis said on Tuesday that the agreement was signed with “an established multi-client company.”
Carel Hooijkaas , the recently appointed CEO of Magseis Fairfield , said: “This is the first phase of a multi-year campaign which will bring industry-leading nodal acquisition and data processing to re-image a mature basin. The project has been developed in close collaboration with the industry and have secured good industry funding.”
The company added that combining node technology, efficient handling, and deployment systems would provide cost-efficient multi-client acquisition programs to deliver best possible data quality.
Hooijkaas added: “Multi-client projects diversify our revenue stream and complements our node lease, sale, and proprietary data acquisition businesses. With our capabilities and asset-light setup, we should be well-positioned to participate in the right projects and create value for the parties involved.”
