The Dutch Government organized a Foreign Government Officials Program during Offshore Energy Exhibition & Conference 2019 in Amsterdam to learn more about the Dutch approach to offshore wind energy.

The Netherlands is a frontrunner in European offshore wind energy. Seventy per cent of Dutch electricity must be generated sustainably by 2030. More than half will be generated by offshore wind farms in the North Sea. See the video for comments of the government officials and to get an impression of the company visits.

From 8 to 10 October 2019, on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate, RVO organized a Masterclass for the second time on the Dutch approach to offshore wind energy during Offshore Energy. More than 50 foreign government officials from Asia, Europe, and the US took part in this master class “Dutch offshore wind – the Dutch success: reducing costs by reducing risks.”
