Trelleborg has won a contract from Ørsted to provide NjordGuard cable protection system, for the Greater Changhua 1 & 2a offshore wind farms in Taiwan.
The company will provide 235 NjordGuard cable protection systems and bellmouths, which will protect all inter-array and export cables on the projects.
Production of the 235 NjordGuards and bellmouths will take place in Trelleborg’s manufacturing facility in the North West of England.
Project engineering works will begin immediately, with installation activities scheduled for execution in 2021.
The Greater Changhua 1 & 2a offshore wind farms comprise 111 turbines installed on jacket foundations. The two wind farms are located 35 and 60 kilometers off the west coast of Changhua County, Taiwan.
