Provider of integrated subsea and offshore solutions Unique Group has been awarded a multi-million-dollar contract by China Offshore Oil Engineering Co. (COOEC).
The contract was signed at a signing ceremony held on November 7, as a part of China International Import Expo 2019 in Shanghai.
Unique Group said on Wednesday that it would design, manufacture, and deliver a classed saturation diving system to be integrated on COOEC’s vessel, including technical support during and post-installation.
All equipment will comply with DNV and International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) guidelines.
Additionally, the turnkey package will also include the Unique Equipment Manager (UEM), a digitalized planned maintenance system to accurately track the status of the equipment thereby minimizing operational downtime.
Harry Gandhi , CEO of Unique Group, said: “This is a key achievement for Unique Group and a step towards a long-term business association with COOEC. 2019 continues to be a successful year for Unique Group; so far, we have won two key saturation dive system manufacturing contracts, keeping pace with the recovering offshore industry.”
The company added that it upgraded its facilities in Singapore as part of its Far East growth plans. The move is in line with the company’s vision to expand its portfolio in the APAC region and to support clients based in the region and internationally.
