French liquefied natural gas containment system specialist, GTT, has been contracted for the design of storage tanks for a trio of newbuild tankers.

The company said on Wednesday it has received an order from an Asian shipyard to design LNG tanks for three LNG carriers being built for a European shipowner.

The company noted that the names of the contracting parties and the characteristics of the vessels remain confidential at this stage.

The delivery of these vessels is scheduled between the end of 2021 and mid-2022, GTT said in its statement.
