Bladt Loads Out Second Batch of Borssele 1+2 TPs

Bladt has completed the second load out of transition pieces for the Borssele 1+2 offshore wind project in the Netherlands. Bladt has completed the second load out of transition pieces for the Borssele 1+2 offshore wind project in the Netherlands.

According to the company, the second load out of the 26m tall transition pieces took place last week.

Ørsted’s Borssele 1+2 will comprise 94 Siemens Gamesa 8MW turbines installed some 23km off the coast of Zeeland.

Bladt Industries is in charge of manufacturing and delivering 59 transition pieces, with EEW OSB manufacturing and delivering the remaining 35 pieces. Sif Holding and EEW SPC will each manufacture and deliver 47 monopiles.

The 752MW offshore wind farm is scheduled to start operating by the end of 2020.
