Lake Front TV, the government access channel of the City of Leesburg, Florida, has just released the latest update on the Lake Lorraine dredging project.
Speaking about the dredging process, Jean Paul, Project Manager of C&M Dredging, said: “We have a GPS-guided dredger out in the lake. Essentially, we pump it (the material) through a pipe into the tubes, water flows off the top and the material stays in the bottom.”
According to Mr Paul, it is expected that this very important cleanup scheme will be completed in late January 2020.
The Leesburg based C&M Dredging is involved in industrial and environmental hydraulic and mechanical dredging and dewatering projects, including navigable waterway maintenance dredging, municipal dredging, and industrial dredging.
