The 12-kilometer export cable delivered by Orient Cable has been connected to the offshore substation at the Daishan 4 offshore wind project in China.

According to Orient Cable, 12km of the 220kV export cable was connected to the substation on 9 December.

Furthermore, 35kV IAC will be laid in the first quarter of 2020.

To remind, Orient Cable’s Ningbo Orient delivered the first batch of 35kV subsea cables, totaling 23.8km and weighing more than 1,800t, in October.

At the beginning of the year, China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group (CGN) received consent for the 216MW Daishan 4 offshore wind farm off the northern coast of Dayu island, Daishan county.

Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries (ZPMC) is in charge of the overall construction, transportation, and installation of the project’s 220kV offshore substation.
