Spot liquefied natural gas prices imported into Japan during the month of November edged up over the previous month.

Data from the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) shows the November arrival-based price was at $5.5 per mmBtu, edging up from $5.4 per mmBtu in October.

To remind, in November 2018, there were less than two reported deliveries. Similarly, METI did not publish a contract-based price for the month of November due to the lack of reported contracts.

Just to remind, the contract-based price in October was $5.5 per mmBtu and the contract-based price in November 2019 was at $10.8 per mmBtu.

Only spot LNG cargoes are taken into account in this assessment, excluding short, medium and long-term contract cargoes, as well as those linked to a particular price index.
