LNG exports from the three liquefaction plants located on Curtis Island off Gladstone reached 1.87 million tons of LNG in November.
The volume was spread across 28 cargoes, data from the Gladstone Ports Corporation shows.
Compared to the corresponding month in 2018, when the three facilities exported a total of 1.92 million tons on 29 carriers, this represents a 2.9 percent drop.
Compared to the previous month, when the three facilities exported a total of 1.98 million tons of LNG onboard 30 tankers, this is a 5.87 percent drop.
China keeps the top spot as the main importer of Australian LNG with 1.31 mt landing at Chinese import facilities.
The remaining volumes landed in South Korea (364,805 tons), Malaysia (124,900 tons) and Japan (65,667 tons), the data shows.
So far this year, the three facilities shipped a total of 20.19 million tons of LNG (303 cargoes), with the majority, 14.5 million tons landing in China.
The LNG export plants located on Curtis Island include Shell’s Queensland Curtis LNG, Santos Gladstone LNG, and the ConocoPhillips-operated Australia Pacific LNG terminal.
