Trianel Borkum Issues Tender for Faulty Cable Replacement

Trianel Windkraftwerk Borkum has issued a tender for the replacement of defective inter-array cables at the Trianel Windpark Borkum offshore wind farm in Germany.

The subject of the contract is the replacement of defective inter-array cables between turbines and/or the offshore substation, including the provision of required vessels, equipment, personnel and project execution documentation.

Furthermore, the deal will cover any port-related cable handling activities, cable testing and termination works, as well as the provision of spare parts as per request.

The contract is set to start on 1 July 2020 and end on 31 December 2025. It is set out as being 5 or 10 years, while the decision on the duration is taken during the award procedure before querying the final offer.

The deadline for submitting applications for the tender is 24 January 2020 by 12:00 local time.

The first Trianel Windpark Borkum phase comprises 40 5MW Adwen turbines which have been operational since 2015. Trianel Windpark Borkum II, currently under construction , will add 32 Senvion 6.2M152 turbines scheduled to be completed in the first half of 2020.
