COO of French vessel owner Bourbon Corporation has resigned from his role following the sale of the company’s assets to a group of creditor banks and transferred to the chairman role at Bourbon Maritime.
Following the judgment of the Marseilles Commercial Court authorizing the disposal of Bourbon Corporation’s assets to Société Phocéenne de Participations (SPP), Gaël Bodénès submitted his resignation from his position as Chief Operating Officer to Jacques de Chateauvieux , Executive Chairman and to the Board of Directors of Bourbon Corporation, on December 31, 2019, effective the same day.
Bourbon said on Tuesday that Jacques de Chateauvieux would continue to be responsible for the company’s general management. Gaël Bodénès becomes Chairman of Bourbon Maritime and retains his other functions within the group.
To remind, the Marseilles Commercial Court in late December decided that assets of Bourbon Corporation would be sold to SPP , a company owned by a group of French banks representing 75% of the group’s debt. It was determined that the assets of Bourbon Corporation would be transferred to SPP on January 2, 2020.
