SHI lays keel for GasLog’s LNG newbuild

Monaco-based LNG shipper GasLog said it has started the year 2020 laying the keel for another liquefied natural gas newbuild.

SHI lays keel for GasLog’s LNG newbuild

Monaco-based LNG shipper GasLog said it has started the year 2020 laying the keel for another liquefied natural gas newbuild.

In a brief statement through its social media channels, GasLog said the keel laying ceremony was held at Samsung Heavy Industries on January 3.

The 174,000 cbm LNG carrier with the hull number 2301 and featuring X-DF propulsion, is scheduled for delivery by the end of 2020.

According to the company’s website, it has seven vessels on order currently with five of them having the capacity to transport up to 180,000 cubic meters and the remaining two tankers having a 174,000-cbm cargo capacity.

Five of the vessels are scheduled for delivery in 2020 with the remaining two tankers to be delivered in 2021.
