Norwegian shipping company Havila Shipping has secured contracts for two of its offshore vessels.
Havila Shipping said on Wednesday that it had won a contract with an undisclosed major UK oil company for the platform supply vessel Havila Crusader.
The company added that the contract was for two wells estimated to a period of one year. The deal includes options for seven wells estimated to above two years.
According to Havila’s Oslo Bors filing, the start of the contract is expected to happen within one week.
Havila Crusader is an 85m long PSV of VS 485 CD design. It was built in Hellesøy Verft shipyard in Kvinnherad, Norway in 2010, and delivered to the company in December that same year.
Also, Havila secured a contract for the anchor handling tug supply vessel Havila Jupiter in the North Sea.
The start of the contract is expected to be in early March and will last for 70 days with optional periods of up to 35 days.
Havila Jupiter is a 92m long PSV of Havyard 845 design. It was built in Havyard Leirvik shipyard in Norway and was delivered to the company in March 2010.
