Eco Wave Power’s power station manager Juan Jose Gomez Restrepo has hosted a visit in Gibraltar of Jonas Ljungström, Naventus Corporate Finance senior partner and board member.
Eco Wave engaged Naventus to write research reports and analysis, in the process of expanding its investor relations activities in order to reach out to the shareholders effectively.
In 2014, Eco Wave Power signed a 5MW PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) with the Government of Gibraltar and the Gibraltar Electricity Authority to construct wave energy power station on the east side of Gibraltar.
In 2016, EWP and the Government of Gibraltar held an official opening ceremony of the wave energy power station.
The construction was co-funded by The EU Regional Development Fund as well as private investments groups.
EWP’s Gibraltar project is its first grid connected project and a significant step towards the the commercialization of the wave power technology.
