Hung Hua Construction (HHC) has awarded Mazu Land & Marine Works (MLM) with a contract for the installation of horizontal directional drilling (HDD) conduits at an offshore wind project in Taiwan.
MLM, a wholly-owned indirect subsidiary of Kim Heng Offshore & Marine, will provide the conduits for the submarine cable installation work on the project.
Under the contract, the company will provide a marine spread, project management and support services for the purpose of the HDD works.
MLM will also collaborate with Thaitan Drilling Co. Ltd. to provide design, engineering and drilling equipment for the activities.
HHC is acting as a subcontractor of Seaway Offshore Cables GmbH.
The contract is scheduled to commence in the second quarter and is expected to be completed in the third quarter of the financial year ending 31 December 2020.
