GasLog, the international owner and operator of LNG carrier, said it has hit a new milestone on its newbuild program.

In a brief statement through its social media channels, GasLog said that it has cut the first steel for its HN2312 at the Samsung Heavy Industries shipyard in South Korea.

The vessel, capable of transporting 180,000 cubic meters is scheduled for delivery in August 2021, the company said.

It is also the last vessel in the series of newbuilds according to the company’s website. GasLog currently has seven newbuilds under construction all featuring X-DF engines.

Out of the seven newbuilds, two will be capable of transporting up to 174,000 cubic meters with the remaining vessels all having the capacity to transport 180,000-cbm of the chilled fuel.
