REN’s Sines LNG import terminal on Portugal’s Atlantic coast is set to receive a pair of cargoes over the coming days.
Port of Sines shipping data shows that the first cargo of the pair is being transported onboard the Ribeira Del Duero Knutsen, capable of transporting 173 400 cubic meters of the chilled fuel. The cargo was loaded at Cheniere’s Sabine Pass liquefied natural gas facility and is scheduled to arrive in Portugal on March 14.
The second of the two cargo has been sourced in Nigeria. The LNG Benue tanker capable of transporting 145,914 cubic meters of the chilled fuel left Nigeria LNG’s facility on Bonny Island and is scheduled to dock at the Sines LNG facility on March 17.
Sines LNG terminal, located on Portugal’s Atlantic coast, has a nominal send out capacity of 600,000 cubic meters per hour (5.26 bcm per year), with a peak capacity of 900,000 cubic meters per hour.
