Damen Shipyards Appoints New Chief Operations Officer

Damen Shipyards Group has appointed Marc van Heyningen as the new Chief Operations Officer (COO). Van Heyningen will assume the position as of 1 April, succeeding Jan-Wim Dekker, who started as COO on 1 January. Damen Shipyards Group has appointed Marc van Heyningen as the new Chief Operations Officer (COO).

Van Heyningen will assume the position as of 1 April, succeeding Jan-Wim Dekker, who started as COO on 1 January.

According to Damen, the new COO spent the majority of his career working for Fluor Corporation in various general and operations management positions.

His last role was Vice President of Operations based in Fluor Company Headquarters in Dallas, Texas.

“We warmly welcome Marc on board,” said CEO Arnout Damen . “With his experience and background, he is certainly able to take operational excellence within our company to an even higher level.”

In addition to Damen, Dekker and Van Heyningen, Andreas Fluhrer, Chief Transformation Officer, and Tom Touber, Chief Financial Officer, complete the board.
