The offshore wind industry is expected to grow to 120 GW total installed capacity by 2030. Much of this growth will take place in Europe but there will also be a considerable increase in capacity in North America and Asia. The 9th annual Offshore Wind Conference held in 2018, brought together the entire offshore wind value chain to discuss developments and innovations. In addition to key project updates, topics included future-proof business models for subsidy-free offshore wind, redesigning electricity markets for abundant offshore wind and solutions for storage.
