Eidesvik said on Thursday that it had received notice of early re-delivery from Seabed Geosolutions for the Vantage vessel.

As a result, the contract for the vessel has been canceled.

Eidesvik won contracts for the charter of the Vantage and Subsea Viking vessel duo from Seabed GeoSolutions back in February 2020.

The contracts for the two vessels were in direct continuation of the existing contracts. The new deal was for four months, with extension options. Both vessels have been working for Seabed Geosolutions since early 2018 .

The previous contract awarded by Seabed GeoSolutions for the tandem was in May 2019 .

Eidesvik has not given any updates regarding the future of the other vessel, the Subsea Viking.
