Submarine Manufacturing & Products (SMP) has delivered another submarine emergency ventilation decompression system (SEVDS).
The system consists of an electrically operated SEVDS 600-metre umbilical winch, containerised control room with fully automated controls and manual backup systems, vacuum and pressurisation machinery room.
The container comes with electrical distribution and low, medium and high pressure breathing air compressors with high pressure storage banks and distribution.
The system is designed for quick deployment onto available vessels in a distressed submarine scenario.
SMP will supply top side and subsea training templates for the client to be delivered later in the year.
