The first Ming Yang turbine has been installed at the Zhuhai Jinwan offshore wind project in China.
The first of the project’s 55 MySE5.5MW turbines was installed on 6 May at the site located in the southern part of Sanzao Island, Zhuhai City.
The 300 MW offshore wind farm is being developed by Guangdong Yudean Zhuhai Offshore Wind Power, a subsidiary of Guangdong Wind Power.
It is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
Ming Yang Smart Energy revealed last May that it had won the contract to provide the turbines for the wind farm.
