Netherlands-based SeaMar Group has secured a new six-month contract from MMT for the offshore support vessel Deep Helder.

Deep Helder is a DP2 offshore survey and ROV vessel with 50 berths.

The 61-metre-long vessel is suitable for seabed surveys in water depths of 10–2000 metres.

The vessel is also a part of the pool vessel agreement between MMT and Reach Subsea.

SeaMar said the contract for the Swedish survey specialist will commence in July 2020.

Leo Balkema , managing director of SeaMar, said:

“The successful performance of the crew and vessel on previous projects for MMT prove to be an added value and we do our utmost to continue delivering a safe and stable platform for their services.”

“We are very glad we can continue to develop the relationship with SeaMar and optimize the high performance of Deep Helder for a variety of survey activities for the remainder of this year,” said Nils Ingvarson CCO at MMT.

The SeaMar group of companies was established in 2000.

The company provides ship management, shipping agency as well as logistics services to the offshore and shipping industries.

Furthermore, the Group has this year boosted its services with the acquisition of the ship owning company Alaborg Offshore Services.
