Oil and gas company KrisEnergy has decided to promote its interim chief financial officer (CFO) to a permanent role.

KrisEnergy said on Tuesday that Joanne Ang , currently the company’s interim CFO, was named the permanent CFO with immediate effect.

“ The board has reviewed and considered the qualifications, relevant experience and past performance of Joanne Ang, and upon the recommendation of the Nominating Committee, has approved the appointment of Joanne Ang as the permanent chief financial officer of the company ”, the KrisEnergy board said.

To remind, Ang was appointed as the interim CFO in April 2019 from the position of treasury manager after Kiran Raj , the CFO of the company at the time, tendered his resignation to pursue other interests.

KrisEnergy said at the time that the leaving CFO would advise Ang in the transition period with his last day of service being on 17 October 2019. The board then began a process to appoint a successor to the CFO.

As for Ang’s career, she joined KrisEnergy in 2013 as the corporate finance manager and was appointed group treasury manager in the following year.

She began her career with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia in Sydney in 1999 in financial market operations and progressed to research analyst before departing in 2007.

Ang moved to Singapore in 2008 and joined CLSA as a research analyst. From 2009 to 2013, she worked as VP of corporate finance at Brighton Capital Advisors.
