Richmond-based marine robotics firm Greensea has entered into a sales partnership with 3D Spatial Solutions.

The Houston-based company will provide US sales support for Greensea’s open architecture navigation, control, autonomy, and human-machine interface technology.

3D Spatial Solutions delivers sales and technical support focused on energy, infrastructure, and marine survey markets.

It will provide firsthand insight and best practices to help subsea customers achieve successful mission outcomes.

3D Spatial Solutions will also represent Greensea in sales of its core products, including its new hull inspection technology .

The company should also further expand Greensea’s OEM relationships.

Scott Walters , principal of 3D Spatial, said:

“We believe that Greensea provides the crucial link between operator and machine.

“Their OPENSEA platform and user interface, Workspace, are the key to OEMs providing increased capability for their current vehicles, and enabling existing ROV owners and users to enhance their productivity by reducing workload for the operator.”

Greensea opened a new location in Plymouth, Massachusetts in January, 2020, and also expanded to Europe in April, 2020.
