BOA’s offshore construction vessel (OCV) BOA Sub C has secured a contract with DEME Offshore for work on the Moray East offshore wind project in Scotland.

Under the contract, which began on 15 June, the vessel’s scope of work includes accommodation, walk-to-work with Ampelmann gangway system, grouting and ROV inspection and survey.

According to BOA, there are options for extending the work in 2021.

BOA Sub C underwent scheduled maintenance after returning from the Ehra field in Nigeria in April.

Back in October 2017, DEME won the EPCI contract for turbine foundations and three offshore substation foundations at the Moray East project, as well as for the transport and installation of OSS topsides.

The 950 MW wind farm will consist of 100 MHI Vestas 9.5 MW turbines in the Moray Firth off the Scottish North East coast. Commissioning is expected by 2022.
