NorSea and Abnormal Load Services (ALS) have launched a joint company to provide project and offshore supply logistics to onshore and offshore wind energy sectors.

The new company, named Elevon, will also be supported by NorSea and ALS owners Wilhelmsen Group and Wallenius Wilhelmsen, respectively.

“The experience and strengths of our owners, ALS and NorSea, paired with the global networks and resources of Wallenius Wilhelmsen and Wilhelmsen, allow us to bring new capabilities and integrated solutions to wind projects – both onshore and offshore” , said CCO of Elevon, Ian LaPointe .

Specifically, Elevon will focus on delivering project advisory services, logistics management and solutions, as well as technical services. The newly established company said the key markets it is targeting are in Europe, the U.S. and Asia.

According to the founding companies, Elevon has been established to allow for focusing only on wind energy logistics, following the wind industry’s accelerated growth over the recent years and rise in opportunities with new complex logistics challenges the industry’s growth is creating.
