Norwegian offshore vessel owner Solstad Offshore has been awarded contracts for three vessels in Australia.

Solstad on Tuesday confirmed that the AHTS Normand Saracen, AHTS Far Senator, and dual fuel powered PSV Normand Leader will continue operations in Australia during 2021.

After the previously announced contract with BP, the three vessels will provide support to a major drilling campaign offshore North-Western Australia from 2Q 2021 for approximately 7.5 months with optional periods thereafter.

These contracts for the vessels are expected to start during the fourth quarter of 2020.

During the campaign with BP, the three vessels will operate in connection with a moored semi-submersible drilling rig, with the base port being Dampier.

Diamond Offshore’s semi-submersible drilling rig Ocean Apex will conduct a one-well campaign, estimated to last 90 days.

Solstad has not provided any further details about the new contract award which will follow the BP campaign.
