Offshore Wind Consultants (OWC) has secured a framework agreement to provide engineering support for the Mayflower Wind offshore wind project in the U.S.

OWC’s scope of work awarded to date is to provide electrical, SCADA and power systems support for the project located approximately 25 miles south of Nantucket, Massachusetts.

“Over the past few years, we have established offices in Boston and New York to support offshore wind developers along the US east coast. The Mayflower Wind frame agreement confirms that we are providing the right competence mix in this part of the world,” said Will Cleverly , OWC Managing Director.

Mayflower Wind has been chosen by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to supply 804 MW of offshore wind capacity with the expected start-up in 2025.

The wind farm is being developed by Mayflower Wind Energy LLC, a joint venture of Shell New Energies US and EDPR Offshore North America.
