Construction has started on the operations and maintenance, and the construction base for the 480 MW Saint-Nazaire offshore wind farm in France.

The O&M base is located in the Port of La Turballe.

The maintenance of the 80-turbine wind farm, scheduled to be operational by 2022, is expected to create 100 permanent jobs during the project’s 25-year life span.

The construction base is located at Quai De Kribi in Saint-Nazaire. The base will be used to coordinate the construction of the wind farm.

The Saint-Nazaire offshore wind farm, also known as Parc du Banc de Guérande, will comprise 80 GE Haliade 150-6MW turbines manufactured in France and scheduled to be operational in the summer of 2022, when it will become France’s first commercial offshore wind farm.

The project is being developed by Eolien Maritime France (EMF), a consortium of EDF Renouvelables, Enbridge, and Canada Pension Plan Investment Board.
