The Energy Talk features Mark Paalvast, Technical Director at MO4, as he shares views on how the energy transition has picked up pace over the past few years.

The MO4 technology aims to help the industry improve safety records, reduce CO2 emissions, increase workability and enhance overall project performance.

Paalvast touches upon the potential of the North Sea as an energy hub for the future, as well as the potential challenges that lay ahead in tapping the region’s full potential.

“Unfortunately, the grand days of the oil and gas industry are over. If you look at the green-field investments, especially in the North Sea, there are not a lot of things happening, and most of the infrastructure there is quite old,” he said.

“So, it makes sense that the majority of those companies involved in oil and gas have now switched to the booming renewables industries.”

Mark Paalvast was also a guest at the Energy Plaza discussing further details about wave motion forecasting and what being passionate about your work means when starting your own business in the sector.
