U.S. weekly offshore rig count flat

The number of offshore rigs in the U.S. remained unchanged over the last week, according to a Friday report by Baker Hughes.

The number of offshore rigs in the U.S. remained unchanged over the last week, according to a Friday report by Baker Hughes.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: U.S. +15 to 338 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is up 15 from last week to 338 with oil rigs up 12 to 258, gas rigs up 4 to 79, and miscellaneous rigs down 1 to 1.

U.S. Rig Count is down 461 rigs from last year’s count of 799, with oil rigs down 409, gas rigs down 50 and miscellaneous rigs down 2.

The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is unchanged at 13, down 10 year-over-year.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: Canada +9 rigs to 111 rigs.

Canada Rig Count is up 9 from last week to 111, with oil rigs up 12 to 52, gas rigs down 3 to 59.

Canada Rig Count is down 42 rigs from last year’s count of 153, with oil rigs down 44, gas rigs up 2.
