EnBW has awarded Bureau Veritas with the contract for project certification of the He Dreiht offshore wind project in Germany.

Bureau Veritas will be responsible for certification of the turbines and foundations in accordance with the requirements of the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH) through all phases of the project.

Certification is anticipated to be completed by the end of 2025.

Located about 85 km north of the island Borkum and 95 km west of the island Helgoland, the 900 MW He Dreiht will feature turbines with an individual rated capacity of at least 7 MW.

Tenders are currently underway for the supply and installation of turbines , the service and maintenance agreement, design of the foundations and for inter-array cables .

Next year, EnBW will launch tenders for production, as well as transport and installation of the foundations.
