U.S. offshore rig count goes up a notch

The number of offshore rigs in the U.S. increased by one unit over this week, according to a weekly rig count by Baker Hughes.

The number of offshore rigs in the U.S. increased by one unit over this week, according to a weekly rig count by Baker Hughes.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: U.S. +2 to 348 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is up 2 from last week to 348 with oil rigs up 1 to 264, gas rigs up 2 to 83, and miscellaneous rigs down 1 to 1.

U.S. Rig Count is down 457 rigs from last year’s count of 805, with oil rigs down 413, gas rigs down 42 and miscellaneous rigs down 2.

The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is up 1 to 17, down 6 year-over-year.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: Canada -20 rigs to 82 rigs.

Canada Rig Count is down 20 from last week to 82, with oil rigs down 10 to 31, gas rigs down 10 to 51.

Canada Rig Count is down 17 rigs from last year’s count of 99, with oil rigs down 21, gas rigs up 4.
