Perth-based engineer Clough has bagged the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) for the Waitsia Stage 2 development.
The project is being developed by Mitsui E&p Australia and Beach Energy, in the northern Perth Basin, near the town of Dongara approximately 350km north of Perth and 65km south of Geraldton in Western Australia.
The project JV has recently executed a fully-termed gas processing agreement (GPA) with the Woodside-led North West Shelf (NWS) project.
Under the agreement, NWS will provide gas processing services for gas from the onshore Waitsia Gas Project Stage 2 for an aggregate of approximately 7.5 million tonnes of LNG in the period between the second half of 2023 and the end of 2028.

The Waitsia gas field is ranked as one of the largest gas fields ever discovered onshore in Australia.
The Waitsia Stage 2 project includes a new 250 TJ/day gas processing plant with a 20-year life-cycle that will convey gas via the nearby Dampier to Bunbury Natural Gas Pipeline.
