Petronet LNG names new CEO

India’s largest importer of liquefied natural gas Petronet LNG has made the change at the helm of the company.

Petronet LNG names new CEO

India’s largest importer of liquefied natural gas Petronet LNG has made the change at the helm of the company.

Petronet LNG noted in its statement that Akshay Kumar Singh has been appointed as a managing director and CEO of the company.

He has been granted a five-year term by the company’s board of directors.

Kumar Singh has taken over his new positions with effect from 1. February 2021.

He brings over 30 years of experience in the petroleum and natural gas sector.

Prior to joining the company, he was director (pipelines) in Indian Oil Corporation and served as an executive director in GAIL India in the projects division.

Upon the appointment of Kumar Singh, Vinod Kumar Mishra stepped down from the position of managing director and CEO of the company and resumed as the chief financial officer.
