UK-based oilfield services provider EnerMech has been awarded a five-year contract by Chevron Australia for integrated services to its Western Australian oil and gas facilities.
EnerMech said that, per the agreement, it would continue to deliver pipeline services including pipe cleaning, nitrogen purging and process plant drying, integrity leak and pressure testing, hydraulic hose integrity management, and specialist hydraulic services.
Paul McCarthy , EnerMech’s regional director for the Asia Pacific region, said: “ Having worked together since 2016, we have built up a trusted relationship with Chevron and we are proud to be continuing our work together over the next five years and beyond.
“ This award recognises our ongoing commitment to serving Chevron and will allow us to build on the foundations we have in Australia as we further enhance our technology offering ”.
EnerMech employs staff across 40 locations around the world. The connection with Australia goes back to 2009 when it launched its Perth office.
It is worth noting that the start of the year has been a successful one for EnerMech. Namely, the company was awarded eight UK projects in the last three months.
More notable ones include a frame agreement extension with TechnipFMC for pre-commissioning services, delivery of shutdown and small bore tubing services for Chrysaor and the supply of rigging equipment and crane management services for Petrofac’s duty holder assets on the UKCS as well as a first campaign for the onshore utility market and a two-year extension with FPSO operator BW Offshore for work on the Catcher FPSO.
As for new markets, EnerMech appointed Celestino Maússe to the newly created role of Mozambique country manager as the company seeks to expand its business with a new office in the country as local activity ramps up.
EnerMech has also established an office in the capital city of Maputo, the gateway to Mozambique’s international energy market.
