Solstad sells two laid-up anchor handlers

Norwegian vessel owner Solstad Offshore has sold and delivered to a new owner two of its anchor handling tug and supply vessels.

Norwegian vessel owner Solstad Offshore has sold two of its laid-up offshore vessels to a new unnamed owner.

Partrederiet International Offshore Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Solstad Offshore, has sold the AHTS Lady Astrid and Lady Caroline.

Solstad said that delivery of the vessels to the new owner took place on Wednesday, 17 March 2021.

The sale of the vessels will result in an immaterial accounting effect for 1Q 2021.

The owner has not revealed any further details about the sale of these two vessels, including the value of the deal and the new owner.

According to information available on Solstad’s website, both vessels had been in lay-up for years now and classified as held for sale from 2018.

Both Lady Astrid and Lady Caroline are anchor handling tug and supply vessels of a UT 712 design built in 2003.
